Data Privacy Rights

Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83 (known as the "Shine the Light" law), individuals in California have control over how their personal information is being used for direct marketing purposes.

Unfortunately, this protection only applies to data that is collected during the creation of a business relationship if the business relationship is primarily for personal, family, or household purposes[1].

That means that any company gathering data about you and your professional practice, for any reason, including California SB137 Provider Directory compliance, is free to sell your data to anyone for any reason without any permission from you. Does that sound fair? We don’t think so.

Gaine, the developer and operator of the Sanator Provider Registry, is the only company that guarantees that data gathered from you for provider directory compliance, or other regulatory programs is never sold or distributed to any third party without your permission

You can insulate yourself from the intrusion into your business by data brokers and direct marketers by enabling the Sanator Provider Registry to serve as your exclusive agent to collect and distribute your information to health plans.
