Only contracted Sanator users (organizations and providers) have access to the registry. Health plans will receive roster data from contracted Sanator provider groups even if the plan is not directly subscribed to the Registry.
The Sanator Provider Registry service facilitates the exchange of information between participating providers and contracted health plans—which allows for participating providers to have centralized interfaces that help maintain their information.

Providers are able to delegate that responsibility. The Provider Registry admin model allows for delegated admin roles to facilitate data management on behalf of providers.

Yes. Connected health plans receive their data updates directly from Sanator in a format agreed upon between Sanator and the plan. Other plans get their data indirectly from Sanator via the traditional roster reconciliation process which is automated through Sanator.
Yes. Sanator allows subscribing systems to store many data elements that are not required by current regulations. These extended attributes are not shared with other Sanator subscribers unless specifically authorized by the data contributor.
Sanator subscribers agree to share certain provider profile data with other subscribers. Sanator subscribers only receive provider profile updates for providers that they have also contributed to.
Sanator will never sell or otherwise distribute your data to any other organization.
Sanator manages all provider data required by current state and federal regulations for commercial and MA health plans. In addition, Sanator manages additional data elements that are considered proprietary to the contributing system.
Plan that are not subscribed to Sanator will receive their provider directory data indirectly via your existing roster management process. Sanator will align your rosters to the Sanator Registry and provide the files required by the plan.
No. Sanator subscribers are in regular contact with their contracted physicians for a variety of reasons. During these communications in the normal course of business the Sanator profile data is gathered, validated and shared with other Sanator subscribers. Our statistics prove that it is not necessary to add additional contact with physician’s offices to improve data quality or accuracy.
